ONE LOVE – ONE FESTIVAL: A festival during the week? We make exceptions for Skip and Bob Marley! Under the motto “One Love”, we will experience two days of the beauty of reggae in all its facets. Skip Marley & Band will heat us up live on Tuesday, while on Wednesday Bob Marley himself will fill the screen. Family business, so to speak. Or simply: One Love!

We really have managed to get him to come to WESTCOAST: Skip Marley, reggae legend, two-time Grammy nominee, live phenomenon and grandson of Bob Marley, will be playing a live concert with his band on the banks of the Main in Griesheim. The 28-year-old Jamaican singer and songwriter first came to prominence through a collaboration with Katy Perry. At his concerts, Skip ecstatically celebrates the roots of reggae and always explores new perspectives of the genre. Relaxed, virtuosic, wild!

Of course, one evening after Skip Marley’s live performance, we will be playing Bob Marley’s fantastic musical biography on the big screen (which Skip also contributed to musically) as a kind of double homage and furious encore. Some summer days can be summarised carefree in one sentence: “Every Little Thing Gonna Be Alright!” Or even shorter: One Love!

The favourite bar from Sachsenhausen is opening a pop-up bar with cold drinks, delicious food and one hundred percent good vibes on the banks of Frankfurt Westside.

Both cash and card payments are accepted. Only open on the weekend of the event.

Frequently asked questions

Do the events also take place in the rain?

True to the motto ‘after rain comes sun’, our events will always take place even if it rains. In the event that it rains very heavily or there is a severe weather warning for the area, we will have to cancel the event with a heavy heart. We would communicate this immediately on our website and Instagram on the day itself. Tickets purchased for the open-air cinema will remain valid and can be redeemed on a later date.

Unfortunately I cannot attend the event. Can I return my ticket?

No, for organisational reasons we cannot offer exchanges or refunds.

Is there a box office?

Yes, there is a box office for chargeable events, which only accepts cash payments.

How do I get to the venue by public transport?

From Frankfurt main station, take the S-Bahn line S1 or S2 and travel one stop to Frankfurt-Griesheim. Change there to bus 54 and get off at the ‘Chemisches Werk’ stop. From there it is only a 5-minute walk to house number 35, where WESTCOAST is located opposite on the Main. (see directions)

How do I get to the venue by car?

From Frankfurt city centre, take Mainzer Landstraße in the direction of Nied/Höchst. Change to the B40 and take the first exit on the right. Turn left at the traffic lights in the direction of Griesheim. Follow Stroofstraße until you reach number 35, WESTCOAST is located opposite on the Main. (see directions)

Is parking available on site?

There are several car parks on the event site (including disabled parking spaces). If these are full, there are plenty of parking spaces available in the immediate vicinity on the banks of the Main. Bicycle parking spaces are also available on the event site.

What payment methods does the bar accept?

Both cash and card payments are accepted.

Can I also visit the WESTCOAST Bar when events are taking place?

During events such as concerts, workshops or readings, registration or a ticket is required as the bar is part of the event area. The opening hours of the WESTCOAST Bar can be found on our website.

What is the seating like in the open-air cinema?

There will be a mixture of normal folding chairs and some beach chairs. For those who want to be extra cosy, we recommend bringing blankets or cushions.

Can I bring my dog with me?

Of course, you are welcome to bring your dog with you, as long as it behaves calmly during the events.
